Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services
What is an IXP and how does ISPRAZEM differ from traditional IXPs?
An Internet Exchange Point (IXP) is a physical infrastructure that allows different networks to connect and exchange traffic directly. ISPRAZEM differs from traditional IXPs by focusing specifically on cybersecurity and BGP protection services, acting as a broker between tier-1 providers and customers seeking enhanced security.
How does BGP blackholing work?
BGP blackholing is a technique used to mitigate DDoS attacks by redirecting malicious traffic to a "black hole" (null route). When you activate blackholing for a specific IP address or prefix, traffic destined for that address is dropped at the edge of the network, preventing it from reaching and overwhelming your infrastructure.
Can I use ISPRAZEM services alongside my existing ISP?
Yes, our services can complement your existing internet connectivity. Many customers use ISPRAZEM as an additional layer of protection while maintaining their primary ISP connections.
What types of attacks can your services protect against?
Our services provide protection against a wide range of attacks, including but not limited to: volumetric DDoS attacks, protocol attacks, application layer attacks, BGP hijacking attempts, and various network-level threats.
How quickly can blackholing be implemented during an attack?
Blackholing can be implemented almost immediately through our customer portal or API. The propagation time across our network is typically less than 60 seconds.
Do you provide 24/7 support?
Yes, we offer 24/7/365 support to all our customers. Our team of network security experts is always available to assist with any issues or concerns.
How do you handle traffic filtering to ensure legitimate traffic isn't blocked?
Our traffic scrubbing service uses advanced behavioral analysis and multiple filtering layers to distinguish between legitimate and malicious traffic. We continuously fine-tune our filtering rules to minimize false positives while maintaining effective protection.
What information do I need to provide to get started with your services?
To begin our partnership, we need the following technical information:
- AS (Autonomous System) number
- Networks advertised via BGP
- Network size (number of customers)
- Main operators (e.g., from which providers you have internet access in Gbit/s)
- Do you use NAT in your network? If yes, what is the address ratio (1:1 or 1:N, where N is the number of users per IP address)
- Do you support IPv6? What is the ratio of IPv4 to IPv6 traffic
Our team will guide you through the onboarding process and help collect all necessary details.
